Having studied ancient Daoism and Chinese esoteric energetic practices for almost 50 years (including the Shang Qing Pai, Tian Shi Pai, Ling Bao Pai, Bai Ji Pai, and Long Men Pai systems of Chinese esoteric mysticism),
Professor Jerry Alan Johnson currently resides as the Senior Abbot (Zhuchi) of Bian Hua Gong (The Temple of Change of Transformation), located in Monterey, California. He received his official ordination and was licensed as a Daoist priest at the Celestial Masters Mansion in the Longhu Shan Zhengyi Monastery in Jiangxi Province.
As of November 2011, the Zhengyi Monastery at the Celestial Master’s Mansion has ordained more than 38 Tudi (Apprentices), 48 Daoshi (Priests), and 8 Daozhang (Abbots) from Tian Yun Gong, under the private teachings and personal sponsorship of Senior Abbot Luo Sheng (Professor Jerry Alan Johnson).
